"A Commandos Life" Royal Marines Recruitment Advert

This very classy hand painted design from the 1950's illustrates the potential life of a green beret. Featuring a section of bootnecks, the beach, lush green palm trees and the blue sea. It includes a glimpse into the equipment that would have been brand new and state of the art at the time including the L1A1 Self Loading Rifle, A flight of Westland Whirlwind Helicopters and an Aircraft Carrier. After the Royal Marines success and escapades during WW2 they would have been well know and this poster only builds on that, this piece of recruitment would have surely been very effective in it's day and still is now.
